Old but not dead

still rockin'

My name is Adam,

I recently hit 40 and realized I haven't had my mid-life crises.....yet..or have I..lol. I am originally from New Hampshire, but raised and spent a good deal of my life in sunny Southern California, now I've migrated to the wide-open spaces of Nevada. No, not the Nevada You're probably thinking of, the REAL Nevada, where you can still feel the excitement of the Big Bonanza and enjoy the vast landscape and picturesque skies.

I started when I was young, many...many...many years ago in elementary school just wanting to hang out with my friends in the band; so, naturally I had to play the same instrument they did. We all chose the Alto Saxophone as our weapon of choice to annoy, i mean, entertain our family and friends with. I have always had a fascination and deep interest in music, from way back before I even started playing. Some of my earliest childhood memories involve walking into the living room of our first house, in New Hampshire and my dad was listening to the local "classic" rock station, I think it was U2 "Sunday Bloody Sunday," which, interestingly enough, was released the year I was born, that's why the word classic was in quotes, a lot of those songs were only a few years old, leading to my next...well, maybe that story will be shared another time, but I digress....

As I said, music has always been a huge part of my life; I still play the sax, but I have also been diving into DJ'ing, Karaoke, as well as learning varoius other instruments. This site for me isn't just about what I am doing now, it is about what I hope and plan to do in the future. I also got deep into the world of photography, feel free to click my affiliate links at the top of the page to view my various other works.

My project/band name is a 2 parter, kind of like a Clark Kent/superman  alter-ego vibe. My DJ stage name, DJ KoASTA was derived from my love of partying, electronic music and hosting/entertaining as well as my passion for roller coasters, I know, pretty on the nose. The other name, NeverxBetter is my punk/alternative alter-ego, it goes a bit deeper, as the phrase itself takes on more than one meaning, some days I am Never better than I've felt before, or, Never Better, as I'll never feel better, having dealt with so much trauma and loss, it seemed like a fitting name. As I said, they are both my identities, and they do cross paths musically as you will discover.
